prior to arrival I review your pet’s medical records and imaging to compare with exam findings.

I start the evaluation by taking pictures of your pet to look at posture and a profile picture to put on file. Then we will take videos of your pet walking up and down the "runway" to observe their gait.

After their pawparazzi session I will preform a physical exam checking neurological and musculoskeletal systems as well as ROM and special tests to assess joint health. We will discuss the findings of your pet’s exam, the treatment plan and goals, and time to ask questions. Treatment will begin including an exercise program for your pet will be reviewed and sent to you.

Referral information

In compliance with Nevada statutes and A.V.M.A. guidelines,  a written referral for animal physical therapy services (except wellness/sports performance) is required from your treating veterinarian. To facilitate this process, there is prescription/referral form on my website or contact us and we will be happy to send one to your veterinarian. He/she can email it back to us or you have it at your initial visit. After the initial evaluation, your veterinarian will receive a report of the objective findings, assessment, and treatment plan. Your veterinarian will receive written and/or verbal progress reports throughout the animal's treatment.  A referral is not required for wellness service.

Cancellation

If your pet is ill (vomiting, diarrhea, respiratory symptoms, etc.), please reschedule your rehab appointment and consult your vet.

There is a $50 fee for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance. Emergencies are understood, but my schedule is usually set a week ahead. I'll do my best to accommodate changes.
